Anne Burlakoff is a retired high school teacher and author of short stories, novels and the occasional bit of memoir. She lives in a tiny beach community on the shore of Lake Huron. Her unpublished novel “Val’s Story” won Crime Writers of Canada’s 2026 Award of Excellence.
